A 19-year-old Paradise man is facing child exploitation charges as the result of an investigation conducted by the RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation team.

Police say the investigation began in October of 2020, when officers were notified by the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre of illegal online activity.

The IICE executed a search warrant at a home in Paradise and seized a number of electronic items for analysis.

Analysis revealed evidence of online child exploitation activity.

Nathan McNiven was arrested on September 2. He’s facing charges of accessing and possessing child pornography. He was released on conditions to appear in court September 30.
