A tropical cyclone may be on its way to the eastern part of the island.
Environment Canada has issued an information statement on Hurricane Larry, which is expected to remain as a sea tropical cyclone, with the eye of the storm to pass just east of the Avalon.
This may affect the weather later this week, bringing high winds and heavy rain.
Environment Canada says there will be an update issued tomorrow morning.
