Members of the Burin and Marystown volunteer fire departments helped rescue an injured hiker atop Cooks Lookout yesterday.
Members of the Burin Fire Department were called after a hiker slipped on the trail, and suffered a leg injury. Colleagues from the nearby Marystown Fire Department also showed up at the Burin Fire Station to offer their assistance.
Second Assistant Chief with the Burin Fire Department, Abert Wakely offered his thanks to Larry Mullett for the use of his ATV, Gerard Butler, Josh Taylor and the staff of Collins Ambulance Service for helping to get the injured hiker down.
