Although concerts planned for Iceberg Alley are moving to Mile One Centre, crews are working to make the concert experience as much like that under the big top as can be possible.
The tent at Quidi Vidi Lake was toppled and shredded by Hurricane Larry’s winds over the weekend.
Promoter John Steele says St. John’s Sports and Entertainment reached out early Saturday morning and offered to help as word got out about the extent of the damage.
Recent drone footage from the scene shows the extent of the damage to the tent structure.

Steele says although it’s not the venue they’re used to, concert-goers can expect a familiar atmosphere. For example, they will have bar service on the floor similar to what there would have been inside the tent.
As for the future of the tent, Steele says the structure isn’t salvageable.
He says they’ll assess the situation and see what can practically be done. As for whether or not Iceberg Alley will be able to continue under a canopy, Steele simply responded optimistically; “never say never.”
