Newfoundland and Labrador is sending some resources to Alberta to help with efforts to fight wildfires near High Level.
An official with the Department of Fisheries and Land Resources says a forest fire behaviour specialist is flying to Alberta today for a 19-day assignment.
Fire crews from this province will also be available to go over the next two weeks, if necessary.
Newfoundland and Labrador is part of the national Incident Command System that ensures crews are available to fight large fires in other provinces.
