Teachers, staff and students are back to wearing masks as they head back to class today.
With a fourth wave spreading across the country, the province re-introduced the mandatory mask requirement in public places on Saturday. That includes in schools and on school buses.
All students and staff in K-12, including bus drivers, must wear a non-medical mask while on school buses. The same is true in all school corridors and common areas, including cafeterias.
All students and staff in grades 4 to 12 must wear a non-medical mask at all times in class and in common areas such as hallways. Masks will not be required in school gyms during physical activity, while music programs and the playing of wind instruments can continue.
