Two positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the community of Conne River.
That’s caused changes to plans in the Mi’kmaq community to mark the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Chief Mi’sel Joe applauds the decision to curtail public events in light of the latest developments.
In the meantime, Chief Joe spent the day with a group of elders in the St. John’s region.
He says they had a good conversation about Truth and Reconciliation and ongoing discussions with government.
