A quick-thinking nursing student is being praised as a hero after a scary situation unfolded last weekend at Monty’s Place restaurant in Whitbourne.

According to the restaurant, one of their employees, Karissa Bradbury, was working when she noticed one of their regular customers didn’t look well.

Bradbury, who is a final-year nursing student, had a suspicion that the woman was having a heart attack.

She assessed the woman and was able to get her to the Whitbourne clinic where she was treated.

According to the restaurant, the woman is okay and praises Bradbury for her work.
