A Go Fund Me account in support of a local television host has already raised about $20,000 dollars.
Jason Piercey, a host of Out of the Fog and a local real estate agent, was driving a motorcycle that collided with a pickup on Portugal Cove Road last week.
Because his income is based on physically being able to work, his friend Joe Dominix says friends decided to help ease some of Piercey’s financial pressure by launching a Go Fund Me campaign.
Dominix says they’re very grateful for the support, saying the response has been “incredible”.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance as the investigation into the collision continues.
