A tractor trailer carrying a load of chickens lost control after its rear section went down into a ditch on Northern Pond Road at Cochrane Pond.
The accident happened over the lunch hour.

The chickens were contained in crates and it did not appear that any had escaped confinement.
Heavy equipment is on site to upright the transport, which is on its side.
The flow of traffic on the road will be interrupted for periods of time.
