Every year, McDonald’s hosts McHappy Day in support of Ronald McDonald House and other children’s charities across Canada.

This year’s McHappy Day was held in September with Newfoundlanders and Labradorians coming together to raise over $84,000 in support of the cause.

Annette Godsell, executive director of RMHC NL, says every dollar raised helps keep families with a sick child close to one another.

Ronald McDonald House is open to parents and sometimes siblings of children receiving medical treatment in St. John’s.
