The Canadian Coast Guard remains in the area of Notre Dame Bay helping RCMP with the recovery effort for two men reported missing on the weekend.
The men, ages 20 and 30, left Lawrence Harbour on Saturday in a 14 foot aluminum boat. They were reported overdue on Sunday afternoon.
The boat, and some of the men’s personal belongings, were located Monday morning about 4 km offshore.
The search effort formally concluded yesterday and shifted to a recovery effort.
