The Canadian Electricity Association has honoured Newfoundland Power with the Resilience and Reliability Award for their dedication to meet the electricity needs of customers.
The award is the first in CEA’s history.
“Reliability and resiliency are more important than ever as we encounter increasingly severe weather events with customers relying heavily on our grid”, said Francis Bradley, President and CEO of CEA.
Gary Murray, President and CEO of Newfoundland Power says the organization is honoured to be the first Canadian utility to receive the award, adding that what is most important to customers is reliability and price of service, a responsibility they take quite seriously.
The provider was also recognized as part of the Occupational Health and Safety Awards program, earning Gold in its classification, being an employer with anywhere between 300-1500 employees.
