Corner Brook City Council has approved a new collective agreement with CUPE Local 4386.
The new four-year agreement includes an 8 per cent wage increase over four years—at 2 per cent a year over the length of the contract.
The tentative agreement was reached on January 13, the day after talks began. Mayor Jim Parsons offered his thanks to city staff for their commitment and resilience for having to adapt and improvise to meet ever-changing public health requirements.
