The only person charged in the largest-ever gun trafficking ring in the province, made a virtual appearance in provincial court Thursday morning.
41-year-old Scott Waterman faces almost 130 charges linked to the illegal gun trade based on the Northeast Avalon.
Dozens of weapons — including more than 80 different types of guns, as well as 3D printers used to make some of them — were seized from homes in Torbay, Flatrock and Pouch Cove.
Waterman remains in custody, but his lawyer noted today a bail review is due soon with the 90-day maximum fast-approaching.
Both the defence and Crown are also waiting for evidence that’s still being vetted by the police, to add to the mounds of disclosure already filed.
The case will return to court in early May.
