An online petition for government to address the rising price of gas is garnering attention.
The petition, started by Leanne Pitcher, has more than 7,500 signatures and counting.
Pitcher says the cost of gas is affecting everything and everyone, with seniors struggling to get the bare necessities on just a pension, and the young people of the province watching housing prices and the cost of living skyrocket. She says everything is rising but wages, and people cannot do it anymore.
Pitcher says the petition has been sent to the Premier’s office with the hopes of government intervening.
