VOCM News has received another nomination for journalistic excellence.

An On Target episode featuring Torngat Mountains MHA Lela Evans speaking on issues facing the residents of her district, including the impact of residential schools on her constituents and her own family, aired on Stingray’s Day of Listening last year.

The show has been nominated for a national RTDNA award in the News Information Program category.

Meanwhile, VOCM’s coverage of Hurricane Larry’s impact on the province, which recently won an RTDNA regional award, has been nominated in the national Breaking News category.

The national awards will be handed out in a gala ceremony June 11.
