Hundreds of people from far and wide flocked to the Middle Cove area yesterday to watch the capelin roll and even pick up a few capelin for the table.
Agnes Penton of Fogo Island was among the throngs who descended on the area yesterday.
She told VOCM News she already got a bucket-load and says she prefers her capelin fried.

Meanwhile, one young boy was very excited about his first capelin roll. Kyson enthusiastically displayed the capelin he caught with his family.
He told VOCM News he plans to cook them as he hauled a few out of the bucket by hand to display his catch.
The town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove says it loves to see people coming for the annual phenomenon, but reminds drivers to abide by the rules and respect signage in place to ensure that traffic moves through the area smoothly.
