RCMP are investigating an overnight smash and grab at a gas bar in Carbonear.
The crime was discovered around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday by a passer-by who noticed damage to the door and window of Butt’s Esso. Surveillance footage taken inside the store shows a suspect entering through the front window. Once inside the suspect stole a case of beer and a number of lottery tickets including scratch tickets and break-opens.
