A gas price analyst is predicting an increase in the price of gas.

Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Gas Prices, says we can expect a three cent per litre increase at midnight tonight.

Diesel will jump by about six or seven cents, while heating oil, stove oil, and propane is staying around the same.

McTeague says this is likely the last time we’ll see any type of jump for the following weeks.

He says this time next week we can see a major correction as oil prices have dropped four or five dollars a barrel.
