An American man was removed from an international flight and charged yesterday after the aircraft he was on was forced to make an emergency landing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
RCMP received a report of an unruly passenger on board an aircraft that was diverting to Goose Bay Airport. The Play Airlines flight had left Iceland for Baltimore in the US.
33-year-old Rasheed Adedokun was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance and assaulting a crew member.
He has been charged with assault and mischief over $5,000 for interference of the flight.
He’s also been charged under the Aeronautics Act for engaging in behaviour that endangered the safety or security of an aircraft and its passengers while in flight.
