The Mary Brown’s on Water Street will be closed by mid-March, and the owners already have exciting new plans for the location.
The Mary Brown’s opened it’s downtown franchise in September of 2019 and celebrated it’s 50th anniversary with a fun and colourful mural celebrating all things Newfoundland and chicken.
The downtown restaurant will close on March 11, but owner Greg Roberts indicates the location won’t be vacant for long, with plans to establish a Fat Bastard Burrito Company restaurant at the site, another brand his company owns.
As for the mural, Roberts indicates it’s not going anywhere. He says it may require a little touch up, but it’s staying. “I love that mural,” Roberts tells VOCM News.
