The provincial government is moving all existing health care services in Deer Lake into a single site.
Premier Andrew Furey made the announcement this morning along with mayor Mike Goosney.
A request for proposals has been issued for an expanded health care centre in the region.
When open, the centre will also include the Deer Lake-White Bay family care team announced in the 2023 budget.
The RFP for space for the new centre will close on April 27.
