Coast Guard Conducting Icebreaking in Springdale

The Canadian Coast Guard is in the Springdale area today for icebreaking operations.

The CCGS Terry Fox will be breaking up the ice in the harbour. Residents are asked to stay a safe distance away from the ship as cracks in the ice can extend a fair distance from the vessel as it moves.

Icebreaking is anticipated to finish up today.
