Seafood buyers are going to give an update on the snow crab fishery today.
The Association of Seafood Producers had called a news conference for 11:00 but the changed their minds and cancelled it.
Harvesters have not been on the water as they say the price of $2.20 per pound makes the fishery uneconomical. They want $3.50 per pound but the companies say that is not going to happen.
ASP says there will be an update later today.
