Anyone who is interested in gardening or keeping livestock on their property should consult with their community’s regulations before proceeding.
That’s according to Nic Fairbridge, a community researcher who was responding to recent issues in the town of Summerford, where some residents who have been keeping livestock on their properties have been issued removal orders.
He says there are regulations all over the place that people should be aware of, even when they aren’t being enforced.
He says there could be regulations that haven’t been enforced in 26 years, but all it takes is one person to complain and people’s gardens and livestock could be threatened.
