A man from Irishtown who had barricaded himself inside a home, was arrested on Sunday by Corner Brook RCMP.
Police were called to a home in Irishtown on Sunday afternoon to find a man barricaded inside the house. Attending officers made verbal contact with the man who eventually left the home peacefully and surrendered himself to police.
The 60-year-old was released from custody to appear in court on a charge of unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of a firearm.
The investigation continues.
