A town hall meeting is scheduled in Petty Harbour this evening to consider an amendment to the town plan to allow for the development of a micro-brewery and restaurant in the old RC Church in Petty Harbour.

Local businessman Todd Chafe, who owns and operates Chafe’s Landing is behind the proposed business.

He and his wife put an offer in on the church and are hoping to get the building rezoned. He will be on hand to answer questions from the public.

A brewery consultant will also be available to answer questions on the volume of water needed.

Chafe says part of the existing green space by the old church will also be converted into parking.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 this evening at the Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove Community Centre.
