A man from Bell Island is facing a number of charges after getting caught with drugs in his car.
Police pulled over a car Wednesday that was travelling 112 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. The 36-year-old driver, whose licence was already suspended, showed signs of impairment.
Police found small amounts of cannabis and cocaine in the vehicle and arrested the driver. He refused a drug evaluation.
He now faces charges of impaired driving and refusal. He was also ticketed for driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without insurance.
The vehicle was seized and impounded. The man was released on conditions to appear in court at a later date.
