Another successful Mike Buist Classic Baseball Tournament is in the books.
Executive Director of the St. John’s Minor Baseball Association, Krystin Coley says this weekend’s tournament hosted 52 teams.

She calls it an “awesome weekend” and she commended their staff who battled some tough heat as temperatures soared into the high 20s.

She says St. John’s has a long history of hosting great sporting events and “it’s a name we like to live up to.” They put in a lot of time and effort to make it a great weekend, not to mention the help provided by the city of St. John’s to allow them access to the facilities they needed.

Mike Buist, the former Executive Director of St. John’s Minor Baseball, passed away in 2019. The former pro ball player came to Newfoundland and Labrador and helped to build the sport locally.
