WestJet has announced the details of their winter schedule of flights in and out of St. John’s International.
A brand new, year-round flight from St. John’s to Calgary is slated to start November 2. The service will run twice a week.
WestJet representative Andy Gibbons says this is the first time the airline will be offering such a route.
As well, they are adding two once-per-week flights down to Florida.
The first, an Orlando-bound flight, will run from October 16 to June 24 of next year.
The second, which goes to Tampa Bay, will operate from March 17 to May 26.
Gibbons says today isn’t just about announcing flights, it’s about reaffirming their commitment to the region.
