Investigators believe a house fire in St. John’s early this morning may have been intentionally set.
The home on Hoyles Avenue in the centre of the capital city was all but destroyed by the blaze which broke out around 7 a.m.
The fire itself has been extinguished but crews continued chopping through the peaked roof looking for hotspots.
An attached home also sustained smoke and water damage.
Four people have been left homeless as a result of the fire, but police say there were no serious injuries and no one hospitalized.
They’re also seeking tips or any other information the public can provide regarding the incident.
