Another rally is happening today urging for a ceasefire in the middle east.
MUN Professor Dr. Majed Khraishi has lived in Newfoundland and Labrador for three decades, but still has family in Jordan and the West Bank.
He says that since war broke out, they’ve had about eight rallies.
He says one event attracted about 800 people, which, in a small town like St. John’s, speaks volumes about how much people care about the issue.
Today’s rally is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Harbourside Park.
