The Salvation Army is among a number of organizations and agencies on the ground providing assistance to people living in the tent encampment in the capital city.
Major Jamie Locke, the divisional secretary for public relations with the Salvation Army says they have been providing food and other assistance to those in the so-called tent-city and others sleeping rough in the metro region.
Their food truck has been traveling around the region offering up warm meals to people in the park and other locations.
