All signs point to a busy year ahead at Deer Lake Regional Airport.
That’s according to YDF President and CEO Tammy Priddle.
WestJet announced it’s return to the facility, with direct flights to Toronto and Calgary beginning in May.
Priddle says it’s great news for the airport, travellers, and tourism operators on the west coast.
She hopes increased activity from various airlines will push them beyond pre-COVID passenger levels.
Sunwing is also returning with flights to popular southern vacation destinations in March. Priddle says PAL remains active year-round to service intraprovincial travel, and Air Canada is ramping up their capacity for flights to Montreal, on top of twice-daily routes to Halifax and Toronto.
