The Avalon Peninsula is digging out following the latest winter storm.
Conditions changed rapidly this morning. Snowfall intensified around daybreak and the winds picked up, creating slippery roads and near-whiteout conditions.
As Environment Canada Meteorologist Tiffany Cheeks explains, conditions will improve throughout the rest of the day.
She says there may be some flurries throughout the rest of the day, and snow squalls overnight. The winds, however, will persist at around 70 km/h creating blowing snow.
