The Canadian Homebuilders’ Association Newfoundland and Labrador says a lot of work needs to be done and things that need to change in order to meet the federal government’s goal to construct some 5.8 million homes across Canada over the next decade.
Executive Director Alexis Foster says they’ve been having discussions with various levels of government to help make that happen.
She says they’ve been working with municipalities in particular and she’s “cautiously optimistic that some changes will come into place that will help increase development.”
