A new mobile crisis response team is now available to serve the Stephenville/Port-au-Port and Bay St. George area.
The team, made up of mental health and addictions clinicians as well as trained police officers, is a joint partnership of NL Health Services and RCMP.
The intervention program was put together to reduce the dependance on emergency rooms and police response to situations involving people in crisis.
The mobile team is now in place and available for response seven days a week by calling 911 or 811.
Hours of operation:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
