Riverside Drive in Corner Brook, which was closed due to a massive landslide in April that pushed a pickup into the water, is now open to two-way traffic.
The city immediately closed the road after tonnes of earth, rocks, trees and debris slid from the steep slope above, blocking the road and leading to concerns about the stability of the rest of the bank.
The city brought in geotechnical experts to assess the situation and help with the cleanup.
While the road is fully open, some lane closures may still be necessary over the next few weeks as crews install curb, sidewalks and fencing along the road, as well as seeding of the riverbank.
