Two men are without their vehicles after Deer Lake RCMP caught them travelling at excessive speeds during separate incidents on Monday.
The first driver was pulled over on the TCH in South Brook.
The 55-year-old man was caught passing another vehicle on a solid line while travelling at nearly double the speed limit – 114km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
Later that day, a 21-year-old man was pulled over on the TCH near Birchy Lake. He was clocked at 158 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
In both cases the men were ticketed, had their licenses suspended, and vehicles impounded.
