The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to two apparent bomb threats in separate areas of the city over the lunch hour, forcing the evacuation of two busy buildings.
First, police were called to Atlantic Place. However, the RNC has determined that the threat was not credible.
At the same time, a similar threat was called in at the Village Shopping Centre.
That threat was also deemed to be unfounded.
The RNC is investigating a possible connection between the threats, and their source.
