Police converged on a Harbour Grace neighbourhood for a couple of hours Saturday evening.

RCMP asked the residents of Gardner Place, off Bannerman Lake Road, to stay indoors while the police operation was underway. The operation wrapped up by 10:00 p.m. with no further risk to public safety.

There’s no immediate word on whether any arrests were made, or charges laid.
