Two contracts, with a total value of $1.8 million, have been awarded for the development of provincially-owned housing in Labrador West.
Capital Investment will be the ones building the homes.
The first contract, valued at $1.3-million, will see an apartment complex built with two accessible, one bedroom apartments on the ground level, and two other one bedroom apartments up top.
Those four units are replacing two that were destroyed by fire in 2022.
The second contract is worth $470,000, and will cover extensive renovations to two three-bedroom homes that have been vacant since 2019.
The new builds are expected to be completed by next fall, while the renovations should be complete by the spring.
