Police in St. John’s say a woman who struck a Department of Transportation officer with a rock has now been arrested.
According to the RNC, the incident happened in the downtown core at 10:00 p.m. last night.
The woman fled the scene initially but was found a short time later and, according to police, would not cooperate.
She was found to have an outstanding warrant and has since been charged with obstruction of a police officer.
No assault charges have been laid.
The investigation is still on-going.
