For the second time this week, an advisory has been put out asking children to be cautious in consuming candy from a trunk or treat event.
This time, the incident relates back to a trunk or treat at a Bay Roberts A&W.
Pictures from the Bay Roberts RCMP show a needle poked through the centre of a piece of licorice.
They’re asking those who did attend to check their candy before consuming it.
Earlier this week, the North River Recreation urged parents of children to throw out all candy obtained after a child became “incredibly ill” and admitted to the Janeway after eating factory-packaged candy at their event.
The not-for-profit said they have no reason to believe that foul play is involved
