A 53-year-old man died as the result of a head-on collision on the Trans Canada early Friday afternoon.
A car collided head-on with a commercial gravel truck approximately six km west of Clarenville.
The lone occupant of the car was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver of the gravel truck was taken to hospital in Clarenville for treatment of minor injuries.
The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office is part of the ongoing investigation.
