The province has lost another well-known broadcaster. Deborah Birmingham, best known as a co-host of OZFM’s Dawn Patrol, passed away Tuesday. Her death comes three months after the passing of her longtime co-host, Randy Snow.
Birmingham joined OZFM in 1984 and became a cornerstone of Newfoundland and Labrador’s morning radio. Working alongside Snow and Larry Jay, the trio was a staple for over a decade. She also spent part of her career co-hosting NTV News Day.
Birmingham forged a deep connection with listeners and colleagues, a bond reflected in the many tributes shared online as news of her passing spread.
She was 61.
