Clarenville is once again going public about a spate of vandalism at Elizabeth Swan Park.
The town says since the park’s public washrooms opened on May 2nd, they’ve encountered “countless” incidents of toilets and drains being stuffed with paper towels and toilet paper.
The town has encountered similar acts of vandalism in previous years.
Surveillance footage has picked up images of the culprits entering the bathrooms, and leaving again, but there is no direct evidence linking those individuals with the damage done inside.
The town is asking parents of children between the ages of 10 and 18 who frequent the park to speak to them about how damage to public property affects everyone.
