Tariff threats by U.S. President Donald Trump was top of mind for those attending the annual Atlantic Chamber of Commerce conference, which wrapped today at the Delta in St. John’s.
CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Candace Laing says some businesses are unsure how to proceed, while others are trying to find ways to adapt to the new economic reality.
“The Trump factor, trade war, incredible uncertainty like our business community has ever faced,” says Laing.
“You really struggle to make a decision on anything or are worried with the anxiety in the country with your customers and consumers.”
