The province’s Child Death Review Committee has recommended that a public education campaign be developed around preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
The committee first gave the report to the department of justice at the end of March.
It recommends that the department of health, NL Health Services and the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate develop a public education campaign around the risk factors associated with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome—also known as SIDS—and undetermined infant deaths.
Each of those entities has been given copies of the report.
